Women's golf finishes fall slate at Rollins Legend

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women's golf tees it up for the final time this fall when it travels to Bradenton, Florida for the Rollins Legend tomorrow and Tuesday.

14 teams will participate in the event that is played at Bradenton Country Club. The course is a par 71 and ranges nearly 6000 yards. Carson-Newman and Wingate are the only two SAC schools competing in the Rollins Legend.

This season, C-N has one top five finish in three events played. To wrap up the month of September, the Eagles finished 5th at the City with Spirit Fall Classic.

Participating for the Eagles will be Maeve Cummins, Ellie Haughton, Hannah Holland, Caroline Nemes and Aynsleigh Martin.

Cummins paces the Eagles lineup. She has the lowest scoring average on the team at 75.7. Her low round of 72 came in the second round of the City with Sprit Classic.

Haughton is second on the team with a 77.1 scoring average in nine rounds this fall. She has posted a low score of 75 twice this fall.

Holland has the lowest round among C-N golfers this fall season. She carded a 3-under 69 in the opening round of the City with Spirit Classic. She finished inside the top 20 in that event.

Nemes will play in her third tournament of the fall season. She has a 78.8 scoring average through her first six rounds.

Martin will compete in her second tournament this fall for C-N. In her first three rounds, she carded an 85 and two 81s.
