JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman aims to continue its spring success at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate played at Sevierville Golf Club, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Carson-Newman has finished in the top three in its first two events of the spring season for the first time since 2019. That season, C-N finished every in the top five at every spring tournament.
C-N will play at Sevierville Golf Club's, Highlands course. The Highlands, is a par 71 that winds through lush rolling hills and fresh water mountain ponds. The course will play 5,803 yards.
The Eagles have finished in the top ten, three straight times at this event. Carson-Newman has competed at the Bobby Nichols every year since 2015.
Five Eagles will compete at this event for the second consecutive year.
"These girls are familiar with this course," Carson-Newman interim head coach Cathy Duggan said. "I think they'll have a sense of confidence. They'll be able to know that they can read these greens because I've played this place and I know where to hit the ball. You have a lot less in terms of variables that you have to learn before you go play. I think our girls are going to be poised to them know we are here and that is what we are going to do in Sevierville."
