INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- Carson-Newman women's golf is one of 14 teams under consideration in the NCAA South Region Women's Golf rankings.
The 14 teams currently under consideration were not ranked in any order this week. The teams will be ranked in order in next week's ranking release.
13 of the 14 teams under consideration are ranked inside the top 25 of the Women's Golf Coaches Association Poll.
Carson-Newman is joined by South Atlantic Conference schools, No. 5 Anderson, No. 14 Limestone and No. 16 Wingate.
The other teams under consideration in the South region are No. 1 Lynn, No. 3 Nova Southeastern, No. 6 Rollins, No. 10 Tampa, No. 12 Lee, No. 13 Flagler, No.18 Lander, No. 19 Florida Southern, No. 21 West Florida, No. 22 Barry.
The rankings are the official poll the NCAA utilizes in the championship selection process. Each week the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Committee will update their rankings up to the NCAA championship selections.
Carson-Newman wraps up the regular season at the Dr. Jerry Surratt Women Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe, North Carolina. The two-day 54 hole event begins on Monday and wraps up on Tuesday.
