Full All-Region Release

NORMAN, Okla. – For the first time in his career, Alex Hodge has been tabbed a PING All-Southeast Region golfer, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

This marks the fifth time in a six-year span that Carson-Newman has been represented on the list. Andrew Hall started the line of plaudits in 2016 with Tom Forster landing the honor in each of the next three seasons. Hodge is the sixth Eagle in program history to earn All-Region status. He was also an All-East Region selection during his time at Walters State, landing on the NJCAA Division II list in 2019.

The Knoxville, Tenn. native was named a second-team All-South Atlantic Conference pick for a second consecutive season this year after starting in all five events C-N played in this season, starting four of them as the team's No. 1 spot. He led the unit with a 72.1 scoring average through 15 rounds, matching the third-lowest single-season average in recent history. Hodge moved into second on the program's career-best scoring average list with a 72.40 in 30 rounds of action in his first two seasons with the Orange and Blue.

The junior landed in the top 20 of four events this year, two being in the top 10. His best outing came with a share of eighth at the Hurricane Invitational, carding an event 216. He fired a career-low single round of 67 in the third round of the Tennessee River Rumble.

Hodge was one of five SAC golfers to receive the accolade this season.
