JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman men's golf finds themselves sitting just outside the top ten in GolfStat's latest national rankings.

The 11th place ranking comes just days after the Eagles took home the top spot at the Queens Invitational. The two day tournament saw Carson-Newman shoot a collective 827. This put the Eagles at the top of a field that included several teams ranked ahead of them. Most notably, Carson-Newman edged out the University of South Carolina-Aiken by one stroke to win the tournament. The University of South Carolina-Aiken is the number one team in the country according to the latest GolfStat ranking.

GolfStat has several South Atlantic Conference teams ranked inside its top 25 this week, with only two schools ranked higher than Carson-Newman. Lincoln Memorial University earned the fourth place nod, while Newberry ranks two spots ahead of 11th place Carson-Newman in ninth place.

The 11th place ranking puts Carson-Newman ahead of two more SAC teams in No. 22 Queens and No. 25 Limestone.

Individually, Carson-Newman lands six golfers inside the top 150 in the nation. Alex Hodge is the highest ranked Eagle at 26th. Following him is No. 28 Jonathan Nielsen, No. 53 Jake Mynatt, No. 134 Will Collins, No. 143 Jackson Tyler, and No. 147 Elliot MacGregor

The No. 11 Eagles will return to action at the Atlanta National Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia on the 25th and 26th of October.
