Eagles down two spots in final coaches poll of regular season

Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. - In the final poll of the regular season, the Carson-Newman men's golf team fell two spots to no. four in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches poll.

The Eagles join no. five Lincoln Memorial, no. 10 Limestone, and no. 25 Queens as the four SAC teams in the poll. Barry takes the no. one spot with 15 first place votes. 

Carson-Newman is also ranked fourth in the Golfstat rankings. 

The Carson-Newman men's golf team ended the regular season with a fifth place finish at the 2022 SAC Championship after shooting an eleven-under 277 in their final round at Graysburg Hills.

Will Collins recorded a career best six-under 66 in the final round of the SAC Championship Tournament. The junior carded six birdies on his final day at the Graysburg Hills golf course. Collins finished tied for tenth with teammates Jackson Tyler and Jake Mynatt with a three-under 213 score for the tournament. 

C-N, who currently sits at no. one in the Southeast Regional, will learn of their postseason seeding this evening, Apr. 22. Fans can stay up-to-date with men's golf action at cneagles.com.
