Randy Wylie Releases 2021 Fall Schedule
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman Men's Golf returns to the green this fall with four premiere events on the schedule. Head coach Randy Wylie released the schedule, noting the importance of a full season of competetion. Wylie says "It is great to have a fall schedule. The year before last we played the fall but didn't play the spring, so we're hoping for a full year this year."
The men tee of on September 27th at the Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Ga, to start the year, a course where sucess is no stranger to the Eagles. In 2018 the Eagles brought home a first place finish from the Green Island Country Club.
The next week, the men travel to Kinderlou Forrest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga, for the Super Regional Preview. This is an event Wylie and the men have had their eyes set on for quite some time now. Wylie says that Kinderlou Forrest is "One of the best courses in the country. It is fantastic. The guys have played it and they love it. It is really good."
From there, the Eagles travel to Kannapolis to compete in the Queens Invitational. The last time the Eagles saw action at Irish Creek Country Club, they took home a sixth place finish in 2018.
The Eagles wrap up the fall 2021 slate with a first time trip to the Atlanta National Golf Club where they will compete in the Atlanta National Invitational. "Super excited about that tournament." Wylie said. "That will be one of the premiere tournaments in all of college golf."
Wylie's expecting greatness out of his squad this year. He says "We've got some players and we've got some depth. It is gonna be a great year."
