ALCOA, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men's golfer Will Collins locked up the Tennessee Golf Foundation's 2021 Greater Knoxville Amateur title on Sunday afternoon following a 12-under outing and a final playoff round at the Green Meadow Country Club.

The Knoxville, Tenn. native posted rounds of 67-70-67 for a 204 total by the end of 54 holes to sit atop the leaderboard with Tyler Lane. He entered the final round tied for second at 7-under, trailing Lane by three shots before shooting three strokes better than his counterpart in the final 18 with a 5-under day that came with six birdies and just one bogey. The pair went into a playoff where Collins won on the second hole to take home the Bill Redding Cup.

Collins fired 17 birdies throughout the three days of competition that took the field to three different courses. His week-high seven birdies came in the first round at the Oak Ridge Country Club before taking on a second round at Holston Hills Country Club where he carded four.

He was joined by several other C-N golfers in the field over the weekend, including Antonio Farinella (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Alex Hodge (Knoxville, Tenn.) who also joined him in the top 10 at fourth and tied-seventh, respectively. Jackson Tyler (Wilmington, N.C.) checked in with a share of 12th.
