Eagles ranked sixth in first Golf Coaches Association rankings

GCAA Release

NORMAN, Okla. - The Carson-Newman men's golf team enters the 2022 spring season as the sixth ranked team in Division-II according to the first Golf Coaches Association rankings released on Feb. 19.

It is the first time the Eagles have been ranked in the GCAA poll since Mar. 27, 2021 when the team was ranked 22nd in the poll.

Fellow SAC member Lincoln Memorial joins the Eagles at number four in the rankings, while Limestone enters at 14th.

It is the second ranking that the Eagles enter the spring season in, as the convocation sits at seventh in the latest GolfStat rankings. The team also holds the number one spot in the initial southeast regional rankings after the fall 2021 season.

The Carson-Newman men's golf team returns to the links at the Hurricane Invitational in Albany, Ga. on Feb. 27. Fans can follow along with the men's golf team this season at cneagles.com
