Men's tennis ranked 36th in final ITA Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. - Carson-Newman's men's tennis program wrapped up the year ranked inside the top 40 of the ITA Division II Rankings, the organization announced Thursday afternoon. 

This marks a second straight year where C-N's men's program was ranked at the year's end by the ITA.  Last year, C-N was 54th.  

The Eagles were ranked 42nd in the rankings released on Apr. 19th. The 36 spot is the highest the Eagles have been ranked since Mar. 22nd, when the Eagles earned the No. 26 spot after defeating the 17th-ranked undefeated Anderson Trojans 6-1.

The Eagles finished the 2023 season with a program record 10 conference wins, earning them third place in the SAC. The Eagles had not finished third in the conference since 2006, when the conference only had six teams.

No. 11 Wingate is the highest-ranked SAC team. Tusculum (28), Anderson (44) and Limestone (46) are the remaining SAC teams that are ranked.
