No. 26 Eagles Shine on Senior Day Against Cobras

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman men's tennis (7-6) wins their fifth conference matchup after a contest with Coker University (2-9) on Saturday, Mar. 25th.

Doubles

Marc Janse and Rintaro Oka lined up as Carson-Newman's first doubles pair for the 13th time this season. The Eagles picked up their seventh win with a 6-4 victory.

Gjorgji Jankulovski and Ids Waterbolk lined up as Carson-Newman's second pair. They won their fifth matchup of the season with a 6-2 set.

Marnix Van Dalen and Lars Hordijk lined up as Carson-Newman's final doubles pairing. They won their set 6-2, awarding Carson-Newman the doubles point.

Singles

Janse won his singles sets 6-2 and 6-3, marking his 50th career singles victory. Carson-Newman's all-time winningest player ranked 73rd in the ITA's national rankings released earlier this week. Janse holds Carson-Newman's longest current winning streak with nine straight.

Waterbolk dominated his first set to win 6-0. He pulled away 6-2 in the second set to give the Eagles their third point of the match.

Van Dalen shut out his opponent in his first set with a 6-0 victory. He went on to win the second set 6-3, marking his ninth win of the season.

Jankulovski dropped his first set 6-2 but was able to rally in the second set to win 6-2. Jankulovski carried his momentum into the third set, winning 7-5. Jankulovski is undefeated in conference play so far this season, having won six consecutive singles matchups.

Oka collected his 38th career singles victory when he defeated his opponent in sets of 6-2 and 6-1.

Carson-Newman will play their final home game of the season against Emory and Henry University on Mar. 29th.
