JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman has a perfect outing at home on day one of the Eagle Invitational. The Eagles competed in doubles play against Tusculum University and the University of Cumberlands.

Ids Waterbolk and Gjorgji Jankulovski began the day for the Eagles in the number one position against Tusculum's Will Gee and Miles Ray. The Eagles dominated the match 8-3. Waterbolk had already played in doubles action against Tusculum this season at the Lincoln Memorial Invitational, where he lost 6-4.

Marc Janse and Rintari Oka played in the number two spot for the Eagles against Tusculum's Lluis Tomas and Ivan Ivars. Oka and Janse easily defeated their SAC rivals with an 8-1 victory. Overall, the Eagles are 4-1 against the Pioneers in doubles action but struggled against the Pioneers in singles action earlier this season. The Eagles will look to atone for their previous matchup when they face the Pioneers again Sunday at 2:30 P.M.
