JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.- First-year women's golf coach Jessica Shepley has announced the team's fall schedule, one that includes the Eagles returning to two courses they competed at last fall.

"Any time you return to a place, the players have a place that they have played and have a bit of experience," Coach Shepley said. "Whenever you're returning to a place it's always a little more comfortable for the girls."

The Eagles kick off the 2023 fall season at the University of Indianapolis Fall Invitational in Carmel, Indiana on September 11th and 12th. C-N competed in the event last season, finishing 9th.

The following week on September 18th and 19th, Shepley and the Eagles travel to the DII South Regional Preview at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee. This will mark the first time the Eagles have competed in this event.

On October 9th and 10th, the Eagles will compete in the 10th Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial in Dahlonega, Georgia at the Achasta Golf Club. C-N finished 14th in this event in the 2022 fall season.

To round out the 2023 fall campaign, C-N travels to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to compete in the Music City Invitational at the Old Fort Golf Club.

With the fall season quickly approaching, Shepley sees it as an opportunity to mold her players early in her coaching tenure.

"For me, there's going to be a lot of new ideas that I'm introducing," Shepley said. "It's a lot easier to have that fall for them to buy into what I'm saying."

The Eagles' fall season is split down the middle between familiar courses and new ones, so the experienced roster will play a big role in the team's success.

"I think it's important," Shepley said. "I'll have some seniors to lean on not only from the leadership perspective but also from playing and knowing what to expect."

C-N graduate student Hannah Holland returns after shooting a 77.9 average last year including a top-5 finish as well as a top-15 finish in the SAC Championships. Returning as well is senior Ana Herrera, who finished in the top-50 in both events she competed in last season.

Each event throughout the fall season will be followed up with a recap and results on cneagles.com.
