JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Eagles' women's golf team returns to the course on Monday, this time at the NCAA DII Regional Preview in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Returning from the UIndy Invitational, head coach Jessica Shepley was impressed with freshman Macy Bromley, who jumped 20 spots in the final day of action.

"Macy played really well, especially on Tuesday," Shepley said. "It was her first time competing in 36 holes in a day, so it was a lot."

Going into this week's NCAA DII Regional Preview, Shepley sees room for improvement.

"For the whole season, we've got to eliminate big numbers," Shepley said. "We had far too many double and triple bogeys… When you start to get big numbers, it takes a lot to get back."

On Monday, Shepley returns to a course that she is familiar with.

"I coached at Lee a couple of years ago," Shepley said. "That was our home course so I've seen it a lot, and I have a pretty good idea of what the girls need to do going into that, so in the next few days we will work on a couple of important shots they'll need."

Shepley believes the course sets the Eagles up well for success.

"I don't think it's as long," Shepley said. "I think a little more precision will come into play… although we do have some big hitters, I also think it will allow some of our girls that are a little more straight and not as long will have a chance to compete."

The Eagles will take the course at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee.
