Eagles Finish 11th at UIndy Fall Invitational

CARMEL, Ind. – The Eagles' women's golf team wrapped up the UIndy Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in 11th.

As a team, C-N concludes the two-day season-opening invitational at 92 strokes over par, shooting 26-over on day two.

The Eagles were led by Madison Cline, who finished tied for 30th and shot a 78 on day two, going 6-over par on the day and 14-over overall.

Macy Bromley made a 20-spot jump from day one to day two, finishing in 44th, improving on her 64th place standing after day one. Bromley shot a 74 in round three of the invitational, notching her best performance so far.

"Macy had a great day today," head coach Jessica Shepley said. "She kept her head on straight and fought till the very end."

Other notable Eagle performances include Ida Petersen finishing tied for 54th, Caroline Nemes tied for 58th, and Ashley Holland tied for 65th.

"There were a lot of positives to take away from the week," Shepley said. "Now we have a great starting point for practice that will allow us to continue to work on the areas that need improvement and build on the good stuff."

The Eagles will return to the course this Monday and Tuesday in Cleveland, Tennessee, for the NCAA DII South Regional Preview.
