INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Carson-Newman women's golf team remains in the top-25 rankings, but are down four spots to no. 21 in the latest Golfstat rankings.
Carson-Newman joins no. 4 Limestone, no. 5 Anderson and no. 17 Wingate as fellow SAC members in the rankings. Lynn remains at no. one overall.
The Eagles are also ranked no. 18 in the WGCA polls and no. 10 in the NCAA Southeast rankings.
In their last event of the regular season, the Eagles finished seventh this week at the Lady Bearcat Invitational, shooting a 20-over 308 for the second straight round, finishing with a 40-over 616 at the Greenwood Country Club.
Maeve Cummins is up one spot in this week's individual rankings, sitting at 30th in the country in all of Division-II. Cummins did the most movement of any Eagle between rounds of the Lady Bearcat Invitational, moving up 14 spots after shooting a two-over 74 in round two. The Waringstown, Northen Ireland native parred 16 of her 18 final holes, finishing the week with an eight-over score of 152.
Ellie Haughton is down ten spots this week, sitting at 45th in the rankings. Ellie Haughton finished tied for 41st with a 15-over 159 after shooting a nine-over 81 on the final day.
Alice Gotbring of Barry is ranked as the number one player in Division-II women's golf by Golfstat.
