"We absolutely had a fantastic weekend. We definitely swam with a lot of heart, which was what today was all about. We were attempting to put all the pieces together in our second session because we struggled a little bit with that on day one. But we swam with heart, so it was a solid weekend for us. It was great to be able to race, and it was great to see the team get behind one another," head swim coach Ben Young said.

In the first session on Friday, Rachel Peden placed first overall in the 500-yard freestyle with a finals time of 5:03.42. Manon Compagner snagged a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a 51.20, while Kennadi King placed third in the event. Maria Tirulli placed third in the 200-yard butterfly.

"We threw down some pretty solid efforts and pretty solid times today and yesterday, so I'll be interested to see where we are in comparison to the nation. Regardless, we went down to Emory and did what we needed to do. It was nice to see them race," Young said.

The Eagles are set to race again next weekend on Nov. 11 against Milligan University at home.
