ORLANDO, Fla. - Carson-Newman men's golf went 11-under par, as a team, in the second round of the Citrus Intercollegiate to sit in third place heading into the final round.

"I'm very proud of the play from us today,' Carson-Newman head coach Randy Wylie said. "They are starting to come together as a team. Jake Mynatt led the way with two stellar rounds. Now we have to go finish it off tomorrow with another solid round. We just have to stay in that one shot at a time, focus on the moment, process."

Carson-Newman was in fifth place following the first round with a 284 team score. The Eagles cut that team score down by seven strokes to move into third place by the end of the day.
