Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll
NORMAN, Okla. – In the final Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll of the fall season, Carson-Newman men's golf is ranked in the top 25.
The Eagles went from receiving votes in the latest coaches poll to receiving 87 votes to earn the 20th spot in the final coaches' poll of the fall season.C-N was ranked 11th to start the season, before falling out of the most recent poll at the end of October.
Randy Wylie's squad finished the fall season strong with a third-place finish at the Citrus Intercollegiate. The top three finish marked the eighth consecutive fall season in which the Eagles have a top three finish in at least one event.
Three of C-N's top four team scores this fall came at the Citrus Intercollegiate.
Graduate student Jake Mynatt led the Eagles finishing the tournament at 12-under par to finish second in the event.
Four different C-N golfers averaged a 73.5 or lower this fall season, with graduate student Hayden Hunneke leading the way with a 72.7 average.
Fellow South Atlantic Conference member, Andreson (S.C) remained in the top spot for the second consecutive Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll. Limestone was the only other SAC school ranked ahead of the Eagles, with the Saints coming in at No. 19. Lincoln Memorial was the fourth SAC team in the top 25, ranking No. 22.
Rounding out the top five in this order is Barry, West Florida, Lee, and Grand Valley State.
