ORLANDO, Fla. – To wrap up the fall season, Carson-Newman men's golf finished in third place at the Citrus Intercollegiate.

The third-place finish marks the third consecutive fall season that Carson-Newman has finished in the top three in at least one event.

The Eagles went into the final round in third place and maintained their spot thanks to a 286-team score on the final day.

Randy Wylie's team finished higher than No. 2 West Florida, No. 17 Tampa, and No. 19 Cameron.

"We had a really nice finish to the fall season," Wylie said. "We were led by a strong -12 and second place finish from Jake Mynatt. I'm very happy to see the team come together to beat some of the best teams in the country."

Graduate student Jake Mynatt continued his stellar tournament shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round. He started his day with an opening nine at 2-under par. Mynatt proceeded to make two birdies, and one bogey on the back nine to finish the tournament at 12-under par. It's the lowest tournament score by a C-N golfer this fall season. He finished the event second, one stroke behind Florida Southern's Adam Alvarez.

Junior Luke Stock had C-N's second-best round of the day, also going under par with a 1-under 71. He made three birdies and two bogeys in his final round. With an under-par round, he finishes the fall with back-to-back under par rounds.

Graduate student Hayden Hunneke was C-N's second-best score for the tournament, as he finished his third and final round with an even-par 72. He had a bogey-free opening nine holes, in which he made three birdies. His back nine featured four bogeys and one birdie to finish at even par. He finishes the event in a tie for 16th.

Sophomore Elliot MacGregor finished his fall season with a final round of 74. He made a birdie and a bogey on each nine but made a double bogey on hole 7. MacGregor finished in a tie for 45th.

Graduate student Zach Young completed his final round with a 3-over 75. After a 3-over 40 on his first nine holes, Young responded with three birdies on the back nine to shoot even par on his final nine holes of the day.

C-N finished the tournament with the most eagles made (4).

No. 3 Barry University won the event by four strokes over second place Nova Southeastern.
