NCAA Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- In the first official NCAA region rankings, No. 15 Carson-Newman slots in at sixth in the Southeast region.

C-N is one of four South Atlantic Conference teams ranked in the top eleven.

Anderson is the top team in the region, followed by North Georgia and Georgia Southwestern to round out the top three.

Clayton St sneaks inside the top five at number four and Lincoln Memorial is the second highest rated team of SAC schools, slotting in at number five.

7-10 in the rankings goes in this order, Barton, Lander, Limestone and Coker. Columbus State is the last team listed in the rankings at No. 11.

Eight of the eleven teams listed in the Southeast region rankings are in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll.

Only the top ten teams in the region qualify. Teams that win their respective conference championship will receive automatic bids into each regional tournament.

The rankings are the official poll the NCAA utilizes in the championship selection process. Each week the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Committee will update their rankings up to the NCAA championship selections.

Carson-Newman has the next fifteen days off before teeing it up on April 16-18 for the South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championships in Hickory, North Carolina.
