Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- No. 19 Carson-Newman men's golf joins 10 other teams under consideration in the initial NCAA Southeast Region Men's Golf rankings.
Although listed numerically on the NCAA website, the teams are not in ranked order. The teams will be ranked in order in next week's ranking release.
Including No. 19 Carson-Newman, eight of the 11 teams under consideration are ranked inside the latest Bushnell/GolfWeek top 25 poll. Four SAC schools make up the eleven teams under consideration.
No. 1 Anderson, No. 5 North Georgia, No. 10 Georgia Southwestern, No. 12 Clayton State, No. 18 Lincoln Memorial, No. 22 Barton, No. 24 Limestone are the ranked teams under consideration. Columbus State, Lander and USC Aiken are the three teams that are under consideration but unranked.
The rankings are the official poll the NCAA utilizes in the championship selection process. Each week the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Committee will update their rankings up to the NCAA championship selections.
Carson-Newman wraps up the regular season on March 27-28 at the Tennessee River Rumble in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
