NORMAN, Okla – Earning his fourth accolade of the 2022-23 season, Hayden Hunneke (Chattanooga, Tennessee) earned Division II PING All-America Honorable Mention, as announced earlier today by the GCAA.
Hunneke has received All-SAC First Team honors, GCAA Southeast All-Region First Team honors and CSC Academic All-District at large honors as well this season.
In his first and only season with C-N, Hunneke made his mark with the program. The Chattanooga native was named First-Team All-SAC earlier this season. He had 21 of his 30 rounds this season be par or better, the most in program history. Hunneke's current 71.5 scoring average is the best mark in program history and tied for third lowest for a single season.
The graduate student's .884 winning percentage in 2022-23 is also the highest mark in program history. Hunneke recorded four, top five finishes and nine top 20 finishes this season.
Hunneke is the first men's golfer to be honored on the All-America team since Tom Forester was honored for three straight seasons from 2017-19.
The graduate student was one of just five SAC golfers to be honored.
