Eagles Show Improvement Against Coker

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman women's tennis (0-11) drops their matchup with Coker University (4-10) on Saturday, Mar. 25th.

Doubles

Anita Chornei competed in her third doubles matchup of the season when she paired up with Summer Reeves. The Eagles won the set 6-4.

Natasha Forrest and Julia Speiser competed in the second doubles set. The pair lost 7-5.

Carson-Newman forfeited the final doubles set, awarding the doubles point to Coker.

Singles

Natasha Forrest won her fourth straight singles match as Carson-Newman's two-player. She won in sets of 6-4 and 6-1 to advance to 8-3 on the year.

Summer Reeves who her sixth straight singles match, marking the longest for any Eagle. Reeves won in sets of 7-5 and 6-1 to earn her 27th career victory.

Julia Speiser won her first set 7-5 but lost the following two sets. Chornei lost her first set but rallied to win the second 7-6. Her opposition won the final set 6-4.

Carson-Newman returns to the Buddy Catlett Tennis Complex for the final time this season when the Eagles take on Emory and Henry University on Mar. 29th.
