Eagles reshuffle weekend schedule to compete at Sewanee Indoor Invitational

SEWANEE, Tenn.- Carson-Newman track and field is set to compete at the University of the South this Saturday, Feb. 18.

After a busy few weeks, Carson-Newman track and field has readjusted the schedule to replace the USC Indoor Open in Columbia, S.C. with the Sewanee Indoor Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn.

"We are taking a small group to the University of the South. Sewanee is a place we used to travel to every year. Our intent is to gain better marks and experience with our throwers, jumpers, and vaulters," head track and field coach David Needs said.

The Eagles will compete this Saturday, Feb. 18 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The field events will precede the running events of the day.

"This opportunity is the last chance to earn a mark before the conference meet. We hope to take advantage of that chance," Needs said.

Carson-Newman track and field will compete this Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Fowler Center Fieldhouse. Field events will begin at 8:30 a.m. with running events following at 12:00 p.m. Live results will be available at http://milesplit.live/meets/508577. Stay up to date at cneagles.com.
