Charamba headed to the finals after day two of NCAA Championships

PUEBLO, Colo.- Makanakaishe Charamba qualified for the men's 200-meter dash finals today, May 26, at the 2023 NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships after finishing first in the preliminary round of the event. 

Charamba raced today in the first round of the men's 200-meter dash. He placed first in the prelims with a time of 20.32, landing himself in the finals for the event. Charamba will race in the men's 200 finals tomorrow, May 27, at 11:55 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Teammate Devon Moore also competed in the prelims this evening and finished 20th in 21.00 seconds. 

Both Charamba and Moore will compete tomorrow in the men's 100-meter dash finals at 10:45 EST. The two will also race in the men's 4x100-meter relay finals with teammates Dawson Jones and Siphosethu Boya at 9:20 p.m. EST. 

Ashwin Jood will compete tomorrow, May 27, at 10:25 p.m. EST in the men's 400-meter dash finals.
